International Cat Day

Please excuse the tardy post, Belvedere and I (and Roger) have been celebrating International Cat Day (8 August) and things got a little raucous.
International Cat Day started out in 2002 as an initiative of the International Fund for Animal Welfare. Now it purrs under the auspices of the long-established cat welfare charity, International Cat Care https://icatcare.org. It’s celebrated every year all over the globe, and for all we know, all over the cosmos.
At the moment, there are eight billion people on Earth, and an estimated 600 million cats. This includes owned, unowned, disowned, never owned and feral cats, although no cat would ever own to being owned. The term is for statistical purposes only. That means that every cat has around 13 people to worship and serve it. This is very acceptable.
There are many ways to celebrate your own cat, or any other cat, and we are sure you will have your own ideas, but you might consider that being a bit more cat yourself would show solidarity.
