Cats of the Zodiac 4 - Cancer

Here come the Moon Cats. After the hyperactive hurly burly of Gemini, Cancerian cats make a soothing, restful change. (Take a look at The Feline Zodiac). Think Mrs Tiggywinkle, you will be on the right lines. Affectionate, docile, cuddly domestic homebodies, vibrating with purr, keen to knead the knees of the entire household, they are adorable. At least for the first quarter of the moon. Invest in a moon calendar.
Come the Full Moon it’s were-cat time (without having to grow extra fur) – prowling, yowling, howling at the lunar orb. And staying out all night.
With the paring down of the moon comes tetchiness, outbursts of foul temper, hissing and passive aggression. Tummy-tickling privileges will be withdrawn and the whole household ghosted.
When the moon is dark, melancholy sets in. A period of reproachful self-isolation in the back of cupboards, or guided wall-staring sessions, apparently meditating on the lamentable burden of existence (Never share space with two Cancerian cats; the psychic load is unbearable.)
When the first rind of New Moon appears, the cycle starts all over again, slowly building up from grudging acceptance of treats to total furry domestic bliss.
Moody is the word. As is broody - left alone, Cancerian cats like nothing better than making new cats (who will be Virgos or Libras, which is some consolation). And they are really good at it.
